Understanding the complexity of human personality has traditionally been a subjective process, often relying on lengthy manual evaluations. Phenometrix is redefining this field by bringing clinical-quality objectivity to behavioral science. Their FaceCODE technology uses phenotypic analysis, studying physical traits such as facial structure and geometry to decode core personality attributes and predict behavioral patterns. 

By turning facial features into actionable data, Phenometrix provides a clear, data-backed lens that helps sectors like healthcare, HR, and talent optimization better understand the people they serve. 

By converting facial geometry into granular data, Phenometrix replaces subjective assessment with a clinical-grade lens, allowing healthcare and HR leaders to analyze 179 unique personality traits with mathematical objectivity.

Phenometrix partnered with OpsGuru to automate the Base Personality Report, a comprehensive behavioral blueprint that translates complex phenotypic data into actionable psychological insights. To scale globally, the team had to eliminate a labor-intensive, expert-led reporting process, a pivot that required forcing a non-deterministic GenAI engine to deliver absolute clinical consistency.

The Challenge: How do you Automate Manual, Expert-Led Analysis into a Consistent, Clinical-Grade Digital Product?

Before the engagement, the final synthesis of phenotypic data was performed manually. Every report had to be optimized by a human to achieve the specific tone, look, and feel required for distribution. This prevented the scalable operations necessary for a true SaaS Go-To-Market strategy.

The primary technology challenge was the inherent non-determinism of Large Language Models (LLMs). While LLMs are highly capable of generating insights, they are notoriously difficult to constrain within strict, repeatable formatting boundaries. Phenometrix required a solution that preserved GenAI's creative capability while adhering to a standardized report format.

Using AWS Step Functions and Workflow Studio, OpsGuru created a visual map of the entire automation process. This provides a clear configuration layer for monitoring the timing of individual steps and troubleshooting errors in real time. Visual Consistency and Brand Integrity 

To address the formatting variability of LLMs, the team implemented a Python Jinja2 templating engine. This acts as a professional layout tool with assigned placeholders for generated content. By separating analytical insights from visual design, the system ensures the Base Personality Report retains the same layout and branding for every user.

Optimized AI Accuracy through Constrained Logic 

To prevent pipeline failures caused by unpredictable AI outputs, the system utilizes Amazon Bedrock with constrained decoding techniques. This ensures the AI generates data in a predictable, machine-readable format that the downstream reporting engine can process without error.

Seamless System Integration and Speed 

Existing API calls and store results in Amazon DynamoDB trigger the entire workflow. This integration allows the mobile application to request and receive a professionally formatted report in just 1.5 minutes.

  • Product Diversification: The modular engine is designed to support the upcoming launch of use-case specific reports, such as Dating and Relationship profiles. By applying new tones and templates to the existing core phenotypic data, Phenometrix can rapidly enter specialized consumer segments.

  • Group Analytics and Intelligence: To support large-scale enterprise clients, the roadmap includes building a Data Lake and an Amazon QuickSight platform. This will enable group-level analysis visualizations and embedded dashboards, allowing customers to track and analyze behavioural trends across entire populations directly on the Phenometrix website.
