AWS Transform Becomes a Modernization Engine

A major theme in Ruba’s keynote was the evolution of AWS Transform.  Transform Custom now supports modernization across any language, runtime, or framework. It is becoming a modernization engine rather than a toolset.

Transform has already saved more than 800,000 hours of manual effort and analyzed more than a billion lines of mainframe code.

The biggest advancement is flexibility. Transform composability enables partners like OpsGuru to bring their own tools and knowledge into the modernization workflow. 

That matters because modernization isn’t a uniform process. Every legacy environment carries its own history and constraints. Bedrock AgentCore Makes AI Agents Safer to Deploy

Ruba introduced new Amazon Bedrock AgentCore capabilities that help organizations deploy AI agents more safely, transparently, and with stronger access controls.

• Agent sessions now run in isolated microVMs with dedicated compute, memory, and storage that are fully sanitized after use, reducing the risk of unintended interaction with other workloads and allowing agents to run safely in production environments.

• AgentCore provides detailed observability into reasoning steps, tool interactions, and model behavior through OpenTelemetry-compatible traces, helping teams understand how decisions are made and build trust in agent behavior.

• Organizations can integrate agent access directly with Okta, Entra ID, or Amazon Cognito, eliminating the need for parallel security models or custom approval processes to use AI-driven systems.

Together, these capabilities accelerate the move toward intelligent systems that enterprises can use confidently. New Security Foundations Support Faster & Safer Operations

Security updates in the keynote focused on helping teams respond faster without adding more complexity. 

• Deeper AWS and CrowdStrike integration improves visibility across distributed environments and shortens investigation and response cycles that typically slow security teams down.

• Pay-as-you-go pricing lowers the barrier to strengthening detection, allowing teams to scale detection and response without large upfront commitments.

More Secure Collaboration with Purpose-Built Infrastructure Access

AWS also introduced IAM Temporary Delegation to make partner collaboration faster and safer without giving up control. Customers can grant partners time-bound, purpose-specific access for deployments, maintenance, and upgrades while retaining full authority over their environments. 

This model supports quicker execution, clearer boundaries, and stronger governance, which aligns closely with how many organizations operate in regulated and multi-account settings.

Partner Programs Designed to Maximize Success

Ruba also expanded on the partner programs that help customers move from exploration to real deployment. New AI competency categories, enhancements to the Business Outcomes Accelerator program, and improvements in Marketplace specialization all reinforce AWS’s push for partners that can demonstrate repeatable, production-ready outcomes.
